Hospitality Work in
the United Kingdom
|
We have a wide selection
of vacancies in the hospitality industry in the United Kingdom. These
include positions in hotels, pubs, restaurants, event caterers, contract,
leisure parks and holiday centres.
Chefs
Exec / Head Chefs, Chefs de Partie, Sous Chefs, Commis Chefs, Trainees.
All levels are required from trainee entry level to senior level applicants.
Salaries range between £9,000 to £25,000 + p.a.
Reception, Trainee Management, Supervisory
College training, references, and some work experience required.
Salaries range between £8,000 to £15,000 plus p.a.
Restaurant and Banqueting
Professionals with silver service and good references.
Pay from £4.10 to £7.00 per hour.
General Assistants
Previous experience in related industry (bars, pizzerias, shops, pubs
etc) and references are required.
Pay from £3.70 to £4.80 per hour.
Accommodation and Meals
All our employers provide accommodation and meals. The accommodation
is usually basic but adequate with own room and shared facilities.
Weekly charge varies from Nil to £30.
Hours Worked
Split shifts are normal for Hospitality positions in the UK but most
employers try to make 2 clear days off per week. 45 hours per week
average, overtime possible during peak periods, usually 5/7 days.
Areas
Positions are available throughout the UK and holiday islands depending
on time of year with the exception of central London.

Work Permits
To qualify for a Permit allowing you to work in UK Hospitality for
up to 5 years you need:-
1. To be applying for a Supervisory or Skills shortage position
Chef de Partie upwards, Specialist Cuisine / Pastry Chef, Snr. Receptionist,
Restaurant Manager, Head Waiter, Assistant Managers etc.
2. To have held similar position for min. 3 years in your own country
You must provide letterheaded proof of this, which will be checked
OR
At least one year in similar position plus a University Degree or
equivalent qualification
You must provide certificates, which will be checked
3. A UK employer to make the application on your behalf
You cannot do it yourself
If you satisfy the above we may be able to assist with a Work Permit
application
If your CV is good, you are aged 20 - 34 and prepared to attend a
working interview in the UK if required, we have vacancies and employers
willing to sponsor Work Permit applications.
